Weekly Meetings:
Wednesdays | 6:45pm
Sunday Mornings | 9:45am (Youth will meet in the youth building with our young adults class)
Romans 12:4-5 lay out God's gameplan for the universal body of Christ. While He has made us with individual skills, talents, and characteristics on an individual basis, we are to use those collectively to see a global need to hear and see God's love. We cannot work together as a taem unless we first get to know each other well.
"A New commandement I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another." -John13:34...We are suppose to reflect the love that God has for all people to each other, constantly building each other up, encouraging each other, and carrying each other's burdens. We constantly fall short of this standard, but it is our personal hope that every student that joines us for a weekly youth meeting will feel safe, loved, and as though they belong.
When the first 2 purposes of youth group are sufficienlty met, it lays the groundwork for the Holy Spirit to work in and through student's lives, drawing their hearts to the Father's. As they pursue Him more, their lives begin to transform and shape- ever representing God's nature more closely. Galatians 5:22-23 remind us: "But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." These are spiritual fruits that we pray towards and hope/expect to see being cultivated in the personal lives of our students.
